My name is John and I can't say I've ever done this blog thing before. I'm interested in working somewhere in the graphic design field thus why an Adobe Illustrator class could only help me. Anything dealing in the arts is a great place to land in life if you ask me. Doing something you love is always everyone's goal. I have worked with Photoshop and Painter and have been working with photography for some time now. I'm not very good at it, but looking to improve. I've been taking classes here and there, but with no true direction. I feel like getting good grades in nothing compared to the knowledge you take from a class. I don't see how taking a gym class like figure skating or ethnic dance can help me in the graphic design field. I also feel like a degree comes second to a portfolio. That finely stamped piece of paper is great to have, but when your portfolio contains nothing but pictures from a coloring book and some finger paintings, you're kind of on your own.
